Panic, Music, and Exploding Kittens

7:47 a.m.

That’s when the panic hit.

I’ve been happily filling my brain with podcasts over the last couple of weeks. I’m learning so much and finding them quite calming to my mind. Well, until this morning. 🙁 I should have found this particular podcast inspiring like the rest, but I didn’t. So easy they said. Applies to everyone they said. UGH! I just don’t feel like I can relate to this episode like I should have!! I need to let it sink in and listen to it again on a different day. Maybe I’ll go back to the episodes on overcoming fear first. I have NO idea why this particular episode went over so badly with me today. There was no reason for it.

Yeah, so that’s when the panic hit. Chest pains, shortness of breath, needed music NOW!

Hee hee… thank you random shuffle on my USB drive!

  • Boomtown Rats “I Don’t Like Mondays”
  • Bob Geldof “The Great Song Of Indifference”
  • Pet Shop Boys “Being Boring”
  • Colin Hay “Who Can It Be Now?”
  • Tom Petty “The Last DJ”
  • Reunion “Life Is A Rock (But The Radio Rolled Me)”
  • Reunion “Life Is A Rock (But The Radio Rolled Me)”
  • Reunion “Life Is A Rock (But The Radio Rolled Me)”

Yeah, I don’t know how that happened either… 😉

I was SO determined to have a super productive lunch! Then I got on Facebook and saw this Kickstarter project (opens in a new window because I’m funny like that). I came across it about a half hour after it was posted and they were already at $76K. As of the time I am typing this, they are WELL past ONE MILLION DOLLARS.

DAMN

Only Matthew Inman could sell the concept of exploding kittens and raise a ridiculous amount of money!!

I quite happily threw money their way and spent the rest of my lunch hour watching the dollar amount rise and rise and rise. Impressive!

I am just THRILLED I got in on backing the project within the first 45 minutes or so. Early enough to get the collector’s deck. 😀
