I first ran across this song on satellite a couple years ago, right after it came out. WOW! I was blown away. I love Jakob Dylan and The Wallflowers anyway, and this song was so refreshing.
Refreshing, yet it had such a familiar sound to it – didn’t take me long to realize WHY. I couldn’t wait to get home and tell my hubby about this new song that had such a Clash sound to it. When the song was over, boy did the DJ ever surprise me when she said the song featured Mick Jones. 🙂 Well, that explains it then! I’m still a bit surprised that I picked up on that connection almost immediately.
Side note: we were at a very small, private Wallflowers show many years ago. Got there early and I spent the whole night standing three feet in front of Jakob Dylan! We even got to hang out with him a bit after the show. Now THAT was an interesting night that I will never forget!
